Q. Is NCU accredited?

A. Yes NCU is accredited in the United States through International Accreditation for Universities, Colleges and Institutes known as IAUCI and Accreditation for Higher Education (ACHE) it is a statutory body currently under the portfolio of the Minister of Education and Culture.

Q. Do we offer Transfer of Credit to other leading institutions around the world?

A. We have agreements with most institutions around the world but we also have Arrangements with others. NCU represent and enroll many students each year for many institutions around the world that are located in our link "International Network." It is up to the discretion of each institution to determine the transfer of credit.

Q. Are NCU degrees recognized by other countries or other universities?

A. Employers in most countries around the world recognize NCU degrees. However, foreign governments are under no obligation to declare recognition of NCU degrees. Each university has its own policy concerning the recognition of credits earned at other universities. To determine recognition by other universities students should contact NCU for all matters related to credit transfer as NCU handles all matter for all its students in regards to credit transfer to other countries.

Q. Does NCU offer credit for professional career experience?

A. NCU may grant transfer credit for significant nonacademic professional achievements such as published writings, major work projects, professional licenses, appropriate professional training, etc. Such credit is determined using guidelines suggested by the Council for Adult Experiential Learning and the American Council on Education.

Q. Does NCU offer distance learning programs and on-campus programs?

A. Yes, NCU offers both distance learning and on-campus programs.

Q. What are the requirements for international applicants to enroll on-campus?

A. Applicants wishing to apply for on-campus study should contact the Registrar by E-mail to: registrar@NCUedu.net. The Registrar will explain the requirements for on-campus enrollment and can assist you by evaluating your qualifications for admission to the campus program near you.

Q. How can we get credit transfer to other Institutions ?

A. Student must complete an application form by requesting NCU for admission into foreign institute. NCU will then start the credit transfer and admission process on behalf of the student. All credit transfer is up to each institute to decide and it is not up to NCU to decide. However NCU will do its best to assist all students who wish to go overseas for further studies. If student tries to apply for credit transfer for on his or her own they may not get proper credit. It is therefore advisable that all students contact NCU prior to taking any admission in any foreign institutions.

Q. Does NCU accept credits earned at other universities? If so how many?

A. Yes, it is possible to transfer credits earned at other recognized educational institutions. Only courses in which you have earned at least a grade of "passed" or a C grade or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) will be accepted. The number of credits accepted varies with the student's degree program.

Q. When can one start a NCU educational program?

A. There are no fixed start dates for distance learning programs. You may start immediately upon acceptance for enrollment and payment of fees.

Q. How is the distance learning program administered?

A. The student selects a specific curriculum to follow. The books and study materials are provided by the university and included in the cost of the program. The curriculum is comprised of a series of individual courses which earn a specified number of semester credit hours. Most courses consist of ten modules. After completing each course, the student will submit the examination, research paper or project for that course for evaluation. When the appropriate number of credit hours have been earned, and all fees have been paid, the student is awarded his or her degree.

Q. How does NCU’s evaluation system work? Do I need to travel to my final exams?

A. The performance appraisal for the different courses in your academic program vary. Some courses require case studies or reviews of related articles found in recent periodic literature, while other courses require you to complete an examination, a special project or a research paper. You will not be required to take any exams in USA. The course evaluation system does not require you to travel. Most examinations may be completed by you in your own home country at an affiliated authorized center .

Q. What type of testing must I take to be accepted for admission to NCU?

A. Students do not have to take any test, such as TOEFL or GMAT, to be accepted for admission to any of NCU's Programs. Unless he or she wish to have credit transfer to other universities for further studies.

Q. What is the duration of the distance learning programs?

A. The distance learning programs are conducted at the student's individual pace, but must not exceed a defined time period associated with a specific program without prior permission from the Admissions Committee. It may take from one (1) to two (2) years to complete an associate degree program, two (2) to four (4) years to complete a bachelor degree program, and one (1) to two (2) years to complete a master degree program and two (2) to three (3) years for doctoral degree programs.

Q. Does NCU offer financial assistance to international and domestic students enrolled in their programs?

A. NCU offers both international and domestic distance learning students convenient monthly installment plans to match their budget. Students who pay in full at the beginning of their program receive a tuition discount. No other direct financial aid is available from the university.

Q. What is the language of instruction at NCU?

A. The on-campus programs in the UK and the distance learning programs are generally delivered in English using English language text books. Under certain circumstances, courses may be completed in other languages convenient to both the student and the supervising professor.

Q. Can a student take NCU programs in a foreign language?

A. Students wishing to study in a language other than English must gain approval from an approved Supervising Professor. The student and professor may then work together in the selected language.

Q. Does NCU issue academic transcripts?

A. Yes, NCU issues official academic transcripts after the student successfully completes all his or her courses. Records of academic progress are also kept, and interim transcripts may be issued to the student following completion of course work for any semester.

Q. Is the term "distance learning" used in either the student’s transcripts or student’s diploma?

A. No, the term "distance learning" is not used in either the students transcripts or diploma. Diplomas earned through distance learning and the on-campus are exactly the same.

Q. Does NCU notarize its diplomas? Can I have an attested attached?


A. NCU will attach an attested or have its diplomas notarized when requested by the student. The student is responsible for payment to cover the notary or attested cost.

Q. Who are the faculty of NCU?

A. The university faculty consists of a wide variety of adjunct professors from reputed universities as well as NCU's own professors. All professors have established credentials as teachers and have been selected for their range of both practical and academic experience.

Q. How do international distance learning students pay their application and tuition fees?

A. Both the application and tuition fee can be paid by Demand Draft, money order, or wire transfer.

Q. Do international students need to send official transcripts and diplomas earned at other educational institutions?

A. Yes. All applicants for admission to NCU should request that official transcripts, translated into English, be sent directly to NCU from the educational institution from which they earned their diplomas. The student must submit copies of all diplomas they have earned. These documents enable the Academic Committee to approve enrollment in programs and to assign transfer credit for previous academic achievements. If official transcripts or diplomas cannot be sent by the educational institution, the student may submit photocopies of transcripts and degrees certified by a school official or attested by an appropriate government official. Since each degree program requires different documentation, we have included a Distance Learning Applicant Check Sheet to help you in submitting all the correct documents with your Application for Admission. To prevent delays in processing your application, be sure to submit all required documents in one complete package.

Q. Can I earn more than one degree from NCU?

A. Certainly, in fact, a student could begin by earning an associate degree, then progress to the bachelor, master and doctorate degrees to reach his or her educational goals. NCU exists to help you reach your full potential and achieve your academic goals. We pledge to make your educational experience as efficient and rewarding as possible.

Q. Can I earn a NCU diploma by attending any of NCU’s affiliated campuses?

A. Yes, provided all required documentation is submitted, all fees are paid and the requisite curriculum is satisfactorily completed.

Q. Does NCU have other campuses?
A. Yes, NCU has affiliated centers in the various countries .

Affiliated campuses often use names other than NCU. Please contact us if you need clarification regarding a school’s affiliation with NCU, USA, that is not listed above.

Q. How do students communicate with faculty and staff at NCU?

A. Faculty and staff are available to assist students with their programs, advise about courses and curriculum and to help the students succeed. Communication may be accomplished in a number of ways.

Q. do I choose my courses?

A. We strongly advice you to select courses which are compatible with your occupational and professional objectives. You should relate your course of study to your career path. This way , your course is directly applicable to your work, and will help you refine and build on your previous knowledge and experience. After you enroll, you will be sent course syllabus, model question papers for each course selected.

Q. How do I get my text books?
A. Textbook selections are periodically reviewed for each course in order to provide you with the latest on the course subject. When you register for the course, necessary books will be sent to your address and the fees you pay is including the text books.

Q. What do I do if I need help in my course of work?
A. In correspondence study, you will be expected to do your course of work by yourself. If you need help to understand academic concepts and theories , you are encouraged to consult with a faculty member in NCU. Your advisor in NCU will forward your query to the appropriate faculty member whenever you need tutorial assistance. You can either phone or send your question by letter or e-mail to NCU office, and we will try our best to answer you back as quickly as possible.

Q. If I change my country of residence , will it affect my studies?
A. No, we will help you where ever you are.

Q. What are the payment plans available?
There are two payment plans available:

Plan A
In installment plan, Fees has to be paid at the beginning of every semester.

Plan B
If you pay total fees in full at the time of admission which will carry a 15% reduction on installment plan fees once paid in full or in part for a course the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.
