Admission

Admissions Policy Generally, NCU's undergraduate degree programs are open to applicants over the age of 18 who hold a high school or GED diploma, who can benefit from post-secondary education and can manage the responsibilities imposed by university studies.

Admission to NCU graduate programs usually requires that students hold a baccalaureate degree or equivalent from an accredited or otherwise recognized institution. No specific undergraduate emphasis or major is required for entrance into a particular graduate program. If available, reported scores on standardized entrance examinations such as the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) and the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) should be submitted. These are not required.

Transfer Policy NCU grants academic credit and advanced standing toward its degrees for appropriate courses satisfactorily completed at other recognized colleges and universities; for acceptable scores on standardized examinations in college-level subjects; for completion of formal, non-collegiate, sponsored instructional programs and military service schools, as evaluated by the Accreditation Council for Higher Education (ACHE) and other agencies; and by means of the evaluation of prior experiential learning at a post-secondary level.

Students who began, but did not complete, academic careers at other post-secondary institutions are welcome to continue their education at NCU. Course work completed at other recognized institutions will be evaluated to determine its applicability to the selected degree and major objective
